TinyHackerHouse Design Challenge 3.0 workshop engages 19 diverse #designers to collaborate on a campaign during @AustinDesignWeek 2018

In my 3rd year participating in AustinDesignWeek, I engaged 19 designers from diverse disciplines in an experience workshop to understand the role of work, home and space in the future.

Following a 10 min backstory on the Hackathon, Makerfaire and TinyHouse movements, we broke out into 4 teams of 4+.

Extracting from the TinyHouse movement and the culture of minimalism, we brainstormed items we would take with us into our future tinyhouse and organized them into space.

In the next part of the workshop, we explored shared resources in a community space such as shared kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools, restrooms, tinyhouse racetracks, public spaces and farm for access to healthy food.

Next we opened up discussions on ideas where each team designed a campaign around their definition of community space through specific events.

Finally each team selected a spokesperson to share their conclusions with the group and discuss further.

I was really excited to advance many of my design skills at this event from designing the workshop, presentation slides, group formation interactions, 360 VR, Video, Photography and social media.

If you have any ideas on our next workshop or would like to get involved, please contact me.

Thanks to everyone who participated, ADW for another great event and look forward to ADW2019!
