Won a $100 cue in a local pool tournament

I decided to get back into pool and started thinking about getting my own cue, but which cue to get? and how much should I spend?

I signed up for a local pool tournament that cost $1 and ended up defeating 6 players (that were better than me) to win a $100  pool cue.

'Lessons learned, money can take you so far, but Strategy, Skills and Passion can take you much further.'

Now I teach kids and adults in the local community how to play like a professional by developing their pool and chess skills using strategy during gameplay.
