Project TinyHackerHouse lies at the intersection of the TinyHouse movement, integrating Hackers and Makers to collaborate on building a model for our future sustainable community.
18 high school students were hired to build a prototype as part of a 4 week intense educational program and now that this phase is complete, we are doing a fundraiser to build a full scale model to demo at SXSW 2017.
The goal of this project is to connect Education to Industry through Community and promote Socially Impactful work through Collaboration, Technology, Innovation and Design Thinking.
TinyHackerHouse (TinyHackerHouse.com) Is a self sustaining house which acts as an innovative tool to teach, talk and learn about Self-Sustainability. Exploring water, energy and food source considerations to design and what makes a healthy, happy home.
We use our living experiment - the tinyhackerhouse-as-home - to inspire and challenge learners of all ages. The Project includes the design, testing, and building of the tinyhackerhouse itself as well as an integrated set of formal and informal education experiences that energize STREAM learning and engage people by creating awareness about current sustainability efforts.
We will have a 1 acre plot of land to build a number TinyHackerHouses and we will provide access to resources, information to our donors.
Each donation will support a student to go through our program by providing materials, mentors tools and resources to continue developing this community.
Each donor will receive a special invitation to visit our space and early access to our events.
If your as passionate about exploring the future of Education, Technology and Communities as we are, please join us in this movement towards change.
